I love writing and I love LiveJournal. (I've had previous accounts....many previous accounts, to be honest. But this one I'll keep, I swear!!) But one thing I hate is introductory paragraphs. It's so annoying, and so repetitive when you've used several accounts before! But then again, what is a LiveJournal without an introductory entry? So here it is....
My name is Jenn. I am sixteen years old. I was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and then I moved to Long Island, New York about a year after my birth. I only lived in Long Island for about three years until my dad got a new job in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In short, I've been living in smelly ole' PA for almost my whole life. I find it to be very boring here in Lancaster compared to Long Island, but I'll never forget the memories I've had of this place. I'm thankful for the interesting people I met and the amazing friends I made.
Then again, life hasn't been all holly-jolly the whole time I've been here. I've had some really tough times (REALLY tough). Let's just say that depression, schizophrenia and epilepsy don't mix too well. (Not to put the blame on my illnesses.......Okay, I admit I'm putting the blame on my illnesses!) Along with experiencing mood swings, cutting, hallucinations, seizures and all that jazz, I've visited a lot of psyhiatric hospitals and even one residential home. Crazy times, I tell you (and no, that was not a pun).
Now to my personality (as if people really care). I think most people see me as a shy girl. I guess I am shy, and I'm definitely introverted, but I'm the exact opposite when I'm around people I'm comfortable with. I'll laugh, I'll joke, I'll say what's really on my mind, and I may even get into a fight with them. I love being around people who make me comfortable. It's like being let out of a cardboard box (why cardboard, I do not know). My favorite things to do are read, write, listen to music, take photos, play video games and swim. I am also interested in astronomy, yet I suck at math. And now that I wrote all that, it's time for FUN FACTS!!!.....
Who are your favorite bands/singers?: Annie, Gorillaz, The Killers, Metric, Nelly Furtado (I'm not that into her new music, though..), Nirvana, Our Lady Peace, Simon and Garfunkel, t.A.T.u., Tears For Fears (again, their new stuff sucks) and Weezer.
Describe your current icon: Well it's Halloween time, isn't it? And I was watching The Office at time, so this fit perfectly! The icon is of Creed, a character from the American version of The Office. I have always thought Creed was so funny, and my favorite Creed moment was when he came into work wearing a cape and vampire teeth. I guess you could call it a "fandom" icon. (By the way, all credit of this icon goes to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) elliptica.)
How did you come up with your user name?: One of my all time favorite songs is "Made To Heal" by Our Lady Peace.
Ninjas or pirates?: I hate them both with a passion, only because I have been asked this so many times before. However, I do make exceptions for teenage mutant ninja turtles.
What are you going to do when you're done updating your LiveJournal?: Go grab a Dr. Pepper and play some Poke'mon. =D
